What equipment should I purchase for my player?The only required equipment is a proper fitting glove and field appropriate shoes (no flip-flops!). The league will provide helmets, jersey, and hat. While pants may be preferred at some age levels (8U-14U), they are not required.

My son/daughter should be playing at a higher level. What do I do? Please review the
Divisions page. Please provide a written request with pertinent information and email to
[email protected]. A player assessment and approval by the League Board is then required.
What are the bat rules?The South East McLean County League (SEMCL) governs the rule of play for all teams 8U-14U. SEMCL follows the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) bat rules.

Do I need to live in Heyworth to join a team?Per the South East McLean County League rules, you must be a current member of the Heyworth School District to participate.
