2022 Age Cut-off

The date cutoff for each division is April 30.

The players age on April 30th in the year of the baseball/softball season determines the lowest age group that the player qualifies for.

For example a player that turns 13 on or before April 30th, will have to play at the 14U level.  A Player that is still 12 on April 30th can play at the 12U level.

Updates for 2024!

Refunds and Cancellations:
Uniforms have to be ordered ahead of the beginning of the season.  If for some reason your player decides not compete after uniforms are ordered, the league will reimburse your registration fees minus $30 to cover the cost of the uniform.  Your child will then still receive the uniform.
Any outstanding balances from previous seasons must also be paid in full at this time.

If Heyworth Summer Youth League, NFP declares a cancelled season (not including individual games) on or before June 5, 2024 you will be refunded 50% of your registration fees paid. Any season cancellation after June 5, 2024 will receive a $0 refund.

Divisions

4U - Co Ed Teeball

  • This division is for boys and girls 4 years and under or those with no experience with baseball or softball
  • Practices will be structured based on a progressive learning plan 
  • Batting will be strictly using a tee 
  • All players bat every inning
  • All players play the field every inning
  • All games will be in Heyworth against other Heyworth teams
  • Games are generally played on weekends
  • $45 per player with early bird discount, $70 after Feb. 12

6U - Co Ed Coach Pitch

  • This division is for boys and girls 6 years and under  
  • Practices will be structured based on a progressive learning plan 
  • Coaches will pitch to their batters during games
  • General rules of baseball/softball apply (e.g. 3 strikes, 3 outs)
  • All games will be in Heyworth against other Heyworth teams
  • Games are generally played on weekends
  • $45 per player with early bird discount, $70 after Feb. 12
  • Register Now!

8U - Boys Baseball, Girls Softball

  • This division is for boys and girls 8 years and under (generally kids that just completed 1st and 2nd grade the spring before the season)
  • Batters will face a pitching machine at 33' and 33 MPH with 60' bases
  • General rules of baseball/softball apply (e.g. 3 strikes, 3 outs)
  • 10 players in the field per inning, but all players can be included in the batting lineup
  • Games will be scheduled against all teams within the South East McLean County League (SEMCL)
  • Teams will  NOT participate in an end-of-season tournament
  • Games are generally played -- Baseball: Tues, Thurs, Saturday; Softball: Mon, Wed, Fri
  • South East McLean County League (SEMCL) governs rules of play
  • $125 per player with early bird discount, $150 after Feb. 12

10U - Boys Baseball, Girls Softball

  • This division is for boys and girls 10 years and under  (generally kids that just completed 3th and 4th grade the spring before the season)
  • Boys will pitch from a distance of 46' with 60' bases, Girls will pitch from a distance of 33' with 60' bases
  • General rules of baseball/softball apply (e.g. 3 strikes, 3 outs)
  • 10 players in the field per inning, but all players can be included in the batting lineup
  • Games will be scheduled against all teams within the South East McLean County League (SEMCL)
  • Teams will participate in an end-of-season tournament
  • Games are generally played -- Baseball: Tues, Thurs, Saturday; Softball: Mon, Wed, Fri
  • South East McLean County League (SEMCL) governs rules of play
  • $125 per player with early bird discount, $150 after Feb. 12

  • Games will be scheduled against all teams within the South East McLean County League (SEMCL)
  • Teams will participate in an end-of-season tournament
  • Games are generally played -- Baseball: Tues, Thurs, Saturday; Softball: Mon, Wed, Fri

  • Boys will pitch from a distance of 54' with 80' bases, Girls will pitch from a distance of 40' with 60' bases
  • General rules of baseball/softball apply (e.g. 3 strikes, 3 outs)
  • 9 players in the field per inning, but all players can be included in the batting lineup
  • Games will be scheduled against all teams within the South East McLean County League (SEMCL)
  • Teams will participate in an end-of-season tournament
